Barbera grape has its origin in Piedmont region of northern Italy. Its a rich wine packed with just about every black fruit flaver imaginable; blackberry, black cherry, black raspberry and black plum. It pairs well with savory casseroles, roasted meats and stews, also with a crusty loaf of herbed bread.
